The struggle to think about which pose to pose next for your Instagram/Facebook pictures is real. After posing a few times, you would think “what else should do I do?”. The Sowden Project got your back because here are the top 10 Instagram poses you need to know as the person taking the photo or being taken. Please spare me as you read my "creative" titles for these poses haha! Sorry, I tried ahah!
1. THE HAIR BRUSH
This pose is a C L A S S I C pose. All you have to do is to have fun with your hair! Just simply run your fingers through your hair or even just play with it! You could either smile and look at the camera, or you can stare at a distance.. while you ponder if what you're doing looks okay haha!
Simply grab your purse, bag, backpack, or whatever you have, and show it off! Show the world what you got while you walk the walk while smiling greatly! Don't forget to say cheese!
The classic sip, what a weird name to name this pose. However, it's 100% relevant to the pose itself! Simply grab a beverage (tea/coffee/juice/etc) and just sip it, or just hold it with your hands while looking somewhere else! Don't forget to show the logo of the cup towards the camera!
Do you remember the scene where Cinderella walks down those stairs in her dress? Here is your time to shine like she did! Simply find a few steps of stairs and walk down slowly while your hair is being lifted by the slight of wind you created while walking down!
5. THE TOURIST LEAN
Do your parents ever to tell you to "stand there and pose!" while you're on vacation? This pose is called the "tourist lean" because you simply act like a tourist! Lean/pose while you have a special artefact/building behind you! And smile like you're having a great time!
6. THE CLASSIC BENCH
Ah, the classic bench sit. Simply find a bench, sit down, and stare in a distance wondering if you should grab some food after your photoshoot or not. Your facial expression is always up to you, depending on what you want to show, but don't forget to have fun with it!
Animals.... don't you just love animals? (It depends which kind) unfortunately couldn't find dogs or cats in the part at that time, but, luckily we found a squirrel. If you have a dog/cat or you see a dog/cat, you can approach them and pretend to pet them (if their owner approves) and be friendly!
You're walking down this beautiful path and your TURN, POSE, SMILE! This is called the three-point smile! You simply do those 3 things for this pose and you will look great (i Promise!) This is really nice to take if you in a park, or when you're crossing the road.
Do you ever look down while thinking? "hmm I wonder what I should wear for my photo shoot"? Well if you don't, that's okay, because you can either look up, to the side or even down for this pose! Simply look at any direction (while not looking at the camera) and have a serious/straight face! And voila! That's the HMM Pose!
10. THE ART PIECE
Did you even find a really nice wall and think to yourself "wow this would be a nice wall to take a picture in front of!". Here is your chance to shine with that wall! For this pose, it doesn't have to be a wall, but a piece of art, or a building! Simple pose and you can even have your back turned towards or away from it.
